Rapid chess events in and around Seoul 10

Rapid chess, with somewhere between ten minutes and an hour per player, is the most common tournament format in the capital area. Korea Job World in Bundang is the venue given for the numbered K League rounds and rapid championships on autumn 2026 dates, the Chess Federation of Korea's training hall in Bucheon is named for a Gyeonggi rapid championship dated November 2026, and the federation president's cup rapid was played at All That Mind in Shin-Nonhyeon in September 2026.

Clubs and academies add their own. Gimpo Chess Club runs the Gimpo City Rapid Open, Thinkgrow plays a FIDE-rated rapid in Gimpo, Via Chess in Sujeong mixes rapid and blitz events with its standard series, ICHESS lists a Masters Rapid alongside its standard tournaments, and Chess Freak runs rapid tournaments in Wirye. A monthly KMSA rapid in Gwacheon has no 2026 edition so far. The time control of every event is on its own notice.
