Chess in Seongnam 4

Seongnam, south-east of Seoul and including Bundang, has some of the busiest tournament calendars of the capital area. Queen's Chess Academy in Sunae plays its numbered Queen's Standard FIDE-rated series and opens on Saturday afternoons for a weekly meeting. Via Chess in Sujeong runs a standard tournament for players under 1800 each month and adds invitationals, rapid and blitz events.

Chess Freak holds rapid, blitz and standard tournaments at its venue in Wirye, while the meetup of the same organiser is listed at an address in Songpa-gu. Korea Job World in Bundang is the venue named for K League rounds, rapid championships and a federation chair's cup on dates in the autumn of 2026. Several academies of Seongnam, including an ICHESS branch in Jeongja and an EPA centre in Sunae, are listed with the academies.
